Mighty Tacos Hockey

So close! The Mighty Tacos lost the final game of the season to the undefeated benders, 2-1, to end the season  in a 3 way tie for 4th. The tie breaker did not turn out in their favor and the Flamingos secured the 4th spot in the playoffs leaving the Mighty Tacos in 5th place for the season. There is always next season.  

I picked some jerseys that we could use for an alternate jersey. I was thinking it would be a white jersey to go with the red one we already have. Let me know what you think.  Loading…

Here is our current roster for the Summer 2022 season. We are probably looking to add one skater.  If we have more people that want to play hockey than our team can handle I am going to be referring skaters to the Spicy Bois who will also be in Bronze this season.   Loading…

Prior to game #10 the Mighty Tacos appear to be tied for 3rd place with 13 points, with the Grease Monkeys after the Grease Monkey played their 10th and final game. However that does not mean we are out of the woods yet. The Flamingos and the Night Hawks have their 10th game scheduled for Sunday. One of these teams will walk away with 2 more points putting them into a 3 way tie for 3rd place. That means there will be 5 teams in the top 3 spots.  What is the tie breaking procedure? No one really knows, but the Mighty Tacos lost to both the Flamingos and the Night Hawks in the regular season. The Mighty Tacos did not play a game against the Grease Monkeys. However if the Mighty Tacos get any points after playing the undefeated Benders they will be in sole possession of 3rd place with 14 points. How many teams even make it into the playoffs? Also no one really knows. Go Tacos!  

The Mighty Tacos (11 points / 4th place) battled Seafoam (10 points / 5th place) on Monday June 6th for 2 points which would secure 3rd place for the victor with one game left in the season. Mighty Tacos shutout victory, 4-0 moves the Mighty Tacos out of a four way tie for 4th place and in sole possession of 3rd place. Game #10 will be against the undefeated Benders. Can the Tacos end the Benders 9 game win streak? With 4 teams 2 points behind the Tacos, will the Mighty Tacos make the playoffs? How many teams make the playoffs? Will there be playoffs? These questions have been pondered by some of the world greatest minds since the beginning of time, some have theorized they may never be answered. Mighty Tacos Fun Facts: The Mighty Tacos have the 2 fewest goals against (23) and 3 shutouts for the season. Woh!

Here's the info: Begins: July 24th (I've updated the Calendar), That means there is a 3 week break. unless we make the playoffs, maybe? Ends: September 14th 10 regular-season games.  The top 3 teams of each division will make the playoffs.​  Price: about $250 pr player. I will send Venmo requests before the beginning of the season. Fun Facts about the Centene Hockey League The old Adult League Coordinator John Martino is OUT and the new Adult League Coordinator Sarah Bier is IN. We will be looking forward to defeating the Spicy Bois in the next Spicy Bowl and remain the Spicy Bowl Champions this season. GO MIGHTY TACOS!
